Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about partial freight between Turkey and the UK
What is partial freight (groupage)?
Partial freight (groupage) consolidates the shipments of customers who do not have a full truckload onto a single vehicle. Volumes from a single pallet down to a single carton are accepted, and you only pay for the space you use.
How long does Turkey - UK partial freight take?
Our weekly road services typically deliver between Turkey and the UK in 5-7 business days. Timing varies with collection, customs and final delivery factors. With our express van service, this can be reduced to 48 hours.
Is there a minimum shipment size?
No. We accept consignments from a single pallet — even a single carton. That is the core advantage of groupage: small-volume cargo can still move economically.
Do you handle the customs clearance?
Yes. We operate our own 24/7 customs clearance facility at Dover. At other UK ports we work through our representatives, preparing and submitting CDS-compliant import and export declarations on your behalf.
I don't have an EORI number — can you still ship for me?
An EORI number is mandatory for importing goods into the UK. When you work with us we will guide you through the application — most EORI numbers are issued in 3-5 working days.
How do I get a quote?
Simply fill in our contact form with the size, weight, contents and addresses of your shipment. We typically send our detailed quote within the same day.
Which Turkish cities do you collect from?
We collect from all provinces of Turkey, with hubs in Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir. Customers in major cities can deliver to our warehouses, and we also offer pickup from other locations.
Are shipments insured?
All of our shipments are covered under CMR insurance. For high-value cargo we also offer optional all-risk supplementary insurance.
What types of cargo do you handle?
Textiles, food (dry and cold chain), automotive spare parts, machinery, construction materials, furniture, e-commerce parcels and personal effects — almost any type of cargo. Dedicated procedures apply for dangerous goods (ADR) shipments.
